It was order to make arms (including knives) for the film that had been shooting that time. Thanks for this order I got inspiration for creating knives and I opened new page in my life. I create my knives from the beginning to the end by myself including sketches. The idea of knife can exist in the form of draft and wait for its embodiment for a long time. I don’t mean the cases with a customer when I am limited in time. I am crazy about the beauty of nature. I get pleasure from the contemplation of it. This is my source of inspiration. For his handles he uses natural materials, preferring to carve his intricate three-dimensional scenes on walrus ivory, fossilized mammoth ivory or pre-1966 sperm whale teeth from the Ukraine.
